Yes, front, side and back clamps come with the frame. The only clamps sold separately are the bungee clamps and I find them less necessary or helpful with this frame due to the location of the bungee attachment.

If you want to take on inserting a zipper only 3 inches long, that’s totally up to you! With my dress pattern, I was careful to overlap the back’s nicely and there isn’t a huge difference between the bunny’s hips and waist. As for surviving a toddler, make sure to backstitch at the back of the dress skirt seam. Betty had ripped one dress in this spot and it taught me to double check my backstitch in this area!

@@LeahDay thanks! I always backstitch, it’s been ingrained in me. I find it sad that toddlers are now playing with Barbies and by 7 or 8 they’re in such a hurry be adults. Back in the day, I dressed Barbies until 14! I learned to sew basic stuff and loved the design/fashion side of it.

I'm quilting through the quilt top, batting in the milddle and the fleece on the back. I tested and found I needed 3 layers or the quilt didn't stitch well with free motion quilting.

@@LeahDay I’m using the appliqué quit top ( fleece in middle and backing fabric . Doing quilt as you go !

If you're sure your cutting is accurate, it's most likely your seam allowance. Stitch, then measure your seam allowance and check that you're taking away exactly 1/4-inch. I don't have a pattern for a 5-inch finished Sawtooth block personally. 4, 8 or 12 inch sizes will be easier to find because this is based on a 4 x 4 grid.

You have this incorrect- there is no additional cost to update from QCT 5 to QCT 6. You just need to follow the steps at the beginning of this video to Update your software and you will have either QCT 6 Plus or QCT 6 Pro. There is no additional cost, unless you want to change levels and add more features.

Does the upgrade include all the extra edge to edge patterns

@@bettymaunder8647 I used my updated QCT 6 program just a couple days ago. I used it like normal to quilt my quilt and everything worked fine. However your question got me to thinking so I did some investigating and now I can tell you YES I indeed have the extra edge to edge patterns.🤩 I clicked on the Select Pattern button, clicked on Patterns folder, and then on the Edge to Edge folder. There's a bunch of designs, and folders from several designers including Leah and Karla. I also especially like that there's a folder named Zone Projects so I can delete old files. Thanks so much for asking the question!

My mother in law gifted me her Q’nique 14+, QCT program, surface and continuum frame…I know. Totally humbled that she blessed me. Having said that I’m having to teach myself through videos and tutorials. Leah, thank you so much for being a clear voice in almost an over abundance of information. Perhaps you could tell me if there are any online or in person classes to use the software.
